Covid-19, Cancellation and Cleaning Information

Beggshill Bothy is a rural retreat, ideally placed for you to enjoy a safe break away. We are constantly working hard to ensure it is a safe environment for both guests and ourselves.

Beggshill Bothy is a member of the  Association of Scotland's Self Caterer's. We are following the cleaning protocols for Self Catering Accommodation and continue to monitor for changes in protocols and legislation.

Cancellation Policy:

We have updated our cancellation policy to offer a full refund should you develop Covid-19 symptoms immediately prior to your holiday and wish to cancel up to and including 2 days before your arrival date. If you need to cancel your stay please contact us. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for full information. 

Risk Assessments and Cleaning Protocols:

We have carried out both a Covid-19 Risk Assessment and a specific Risk Assessment for Different Surfaces in Beggshill Bothy. Both are available in the Bothy, and copies can be supplied in advance on request.

We have undertaken training in Covid-19 Holiday Let Cleaning Protocols.

In addition to antibacterial cleaners, we are now undertaking a second level clean at each changeover using Envirosafe-SF, a food safe sanitiser that complies with EN1276, EN 14476 and EN1650.

Appropriate cleaning materials will be be provided for your use during your stay.

Arrival and Departure:

We offer a no-contact check in and check out process.

Check in is strictly after 4pm; details will be provided in a pre-arrival email.

On the morning of your departure, we kindly ask you to:

  1. Open the windows to allow for ventilation
  2. Strip the bed and place all bedding/towels/tea towels/cloths in the laundry bags provided
  3. Fill the dishwasher with all cutlery, glassware, mugs and crockery and turn it on.
  4. Bag and remove all rubbish, placing it in the large bins behind the Bothy

Check out is strictly by 10am to allow us sufficient time to clean before our next arrival. Full details will be available in the Bothy.

If you develop symptoms during your stay:

If you develop symptoms of COVID-19 during your stay you must inform us immediately. If you are well enough to travel you should return home and self-isolate in accordance with current Government guidance.
